Secret Top Five Reasons National Review Gave for Hating on Neil deGrasse Tyson
Reason No. 5: Tyson is elitist like Marie Antoinette, yet Cosmos was very popular -- this does not compute;
Reason No. 4: Video clip from Cosmos called “Weather Versus Climate Change” shows Tyson and dog walking on beach with no SUVs around – fossil fuel industry was offended;
Reason No. 3: Tyson talks like a nerd and dresses like a popular guy, plus no pocket protector – this confuses people;
Reason No. 2: Tyson says ignorance is a virus, and National Review readers are already totally freaked about poor people diseases;
And Reason No. 1: Games and movies about Sharknados are very profitaable, but if Tyson has his way extreme weather like Sharknados will be eliminated.
Here’s the comment I posted: I’m sure National Review finds a massively popular black astrophysicist scarier than all the whirling sharks you can imagine, but the scariest thing about Tyson is that he might explain climate change so well Americans will say “Let’s fix it now!”
